Is this a good tag or a bad tag? Are you born a sparent or can you be indoctrined in? Is there a swearing in Sparent ceremony? Is there a age requirement to become a sparent? How many sparents are there? Can you easily tell a sparent at a sporting event or at your local grocery, if so, what are their distinguishable characteristics that makes them stand out? Dick Foley was a real A D ,did nt take crap or listen to cry babiy players or parents. He told players to suck it up or go elsewhere . He did not try to suck up to players,Administration or parents.He let coaches coach and they stayed there to build the program.When Foley talked people llistened and respected his decision. Foley coaced at all levels at M.E. and Cook came as a gym teacher.Maybe he coaced lacrosse but that was just to get it started and I do not know if it even exists today except for girls. Lacrosse should be a sport where both sexes play it together .The girls are for the most part field hockey players and guys are football players.Back to the original response Cook needs to stop acting like the poster boy and start being tough .Not be a popularity contest.He is worring about his own job instead of doing the job. So wait a minute are you saying that all sparents are like a group of people they are all friends? I don't get this. And i have to tell you I think you are wrong if you think you got the edge on politics-there is several schools in the same boat about kids with play time etc...-check out JC, Vestal I mean the list goes on and on. I think your problem at ME is you air out everything here on bc voice and not all schools do that. Although JC and Seton are close on here... So what people are saying is that it is manipulative parents running all over the coach's-(what about the parents who are coaching in the district also.) You said he screwed over their kids ( yet you say you were not a parent-yeah right) last year? How because they didn't play-well if they won a state championship I would say he played the right guys. And you say they should confront him-seriously get a life their high school days are over and they were not going to play Pro. It look sto me like you just gave the perfect example of a sparent!
