"Joseph - Mary’s husband. Joseph is a direct paternal descendant of the great King David, which makes Jesus an heir to the Davidic line. Second, I don't see why your are allotting $3/meal/priest... Priests in poorer countries, where food is much cheaper, could probably eat well for 25 cents per meal. Within the Church there are BISHOPS, PRESBYTERS (priests), and DEACONS. These make up the ministerial priesthood - apart from those who are not ORDAINED.
