Her ego drives her to make more and more money. Just like on the puppy mill thread, she was shown to be a phoney because on her website there is a video of her going to a puppy mill to buy a dog. This is very common among Oprah's beliefs. She has promoted a lot of charlatans. This is not the first and it won't be the last. Obviously, higher thought is lost on a pinhead such as yourself. Oprah Winfrey does wonderful work, she is a philanthropist par excellence and uses her show to inform, uplift and to entertain. Dr. Phil is doing quite well....... The book by James Frey was a compelling bestseller, even before it became a book club pick. Oprah didn't fabricate the memoir, Frey did and publicly acknowledged that. His publishers were quite surprised too. By all means don't read A New Earth, it's clearly not your cup of tea. My issue is that here is another New Age Guru with a plan to save the world and there is not much time left. Dr Phil, while doing quite well, still has some questionable personality disorders. Just recently he spewed some garbage about Britney Spears and got into some hot water for it. Read his bio. He is not a very nice person. The FTC got after him for his weight loss scheme. Bee Posted April 5, 2008 Author Report Share Posted April 5, 2008 OY...anybody can post on Wikipedia, much is not true....... if you watched the Dr. Phil program you would know that he certainly talks to his sons...both of them have appeared on his show! The Secret is also pulled from many disciplines...sometimes certain purveyors of information do it in a manner that makes it, shall we say, digestible?
