Guest Guest
How do you like that new KWICK-FILL ad telling us to buy "North American" gas and to claim all their gas is 100% "American". I'm assuming they mean it is gas from the United States or Canada because that's where much of our gas comes from. Note how the ad says North American and Amercian and NOT United States gas.... It is truthful but misleading.
ALREDEGONE
At least they're not getting their gas from Venezuela !!

It is truthful but misleading. help me out here. they get their gas from both america and canada. that is known as north america. gotch ya so far. then they say their gas is "100% american". those 2 things don't mix. that makes no sense. the only way it is true is if they buy all american gas and decided to refer to it as north american gas and you decided to be a moron and jump to conclusions. the plot thickens. Guest bbbbbb
particularly misleading since all gas in this area comes out of ONE of TWO small terminals - all of the gas in this area comes from the SAME place. the only difference between the gas is the additives added when filling a truck. Kwik Fill, Hess, Exxon, are all the SAME GAS.
Guest guest4u
The gas may be refined in North America but the oil can come from elsewhere.

Actually, Mexico is in Central America. North Am. is comprised of the US and Canada.
Guest guest
Gas is refined from oil, and most of the U.S. refineries are located along the Gulf. So the ad is misleading because it dose not specify where the oil comes from, just the gas.

No. Actually, Mexico is part of North America. Central America is a region and not a continent. Where Panama meets Colombia is the dividing line between continents. (For what its worth.) Guest Facts Are Better
The commercial says American made gasoline... that is true. It is refined in Warren, PA by an American company. Not a huge international conglomerate. They do not use the the fuels stored in Vestal, they truck it in. Just as Pilot in Kirkwood gets their fuel from Marathon Ashland Petroleum. While the crude oil comes from Canada... it is still American Made gas. Just like say, the Chevy Malibu or Saturn Aura... they are built in America by an American company... while a percentage of supplies come from elsewhere, does that not make them American Made??? Guest Facts Are Better
Idk Toyota and Honda Make there cars in America, does that make them non japanese ? That is why I also added "... by an American Company." Even though BP and others refine in the US... they are not all American companies. BP = British Shell = Dutch LUKoil = Russian Hess = American Citgo = American Valero = American *Starting in 2000* Exxon Mobil = American
