thomas
Good interview here. Fought in Binghamton 3 times (1-1-1). Anybody remember his fights? http://ringsidereport.com/?p=
27 Time World Champions
Good fighter. Fought some really tough guys (Hagler 2x). I didn't see him fight here but my Dad did. Too bad the Arena doesn't have boxing anymore. It's a better place than Turning Stone, but they get all the fights in this area for obvious reasons. The best time to go up is Hall of Fame weekend. They always have a card and a lot of the greats show up. I met Oscar De La Hoya, Andre Ward, Roy Jones, Mike Tyson, Teddy Atlas and many others including Rosie Perez. People say boxing is dead. Never! Nothing you can do to kill it and really not much you can do to help it either.
thomas
He was cast somewhat as a villian type when he fought. "God Bless America", he says here in this very interesting interview. He made his North American pro debut at the Floyd Maines VMA. and for comic relief...Uzzy here clearly did not take notes from the classy Mr. Hamsho.
