2pelo Honey
https://wnbf.com/ixp/497/p/binghamton-memorial-bridge-redesign-survey-redesign/ I wish they would just stick to paving it. With so many more cars on the roads everywhere, why do these idiots keep taking away driving lanes, and adding planters and bike lanes??? I can't even imagine how much traffic would be backed up losing a lane in each direction. And their goal is to "slow down" the speeders using the Brandywine and then the bridge as a "speedway", so I guess the speeders will just be crashing into the cars that are sitting in traffic, waiting to crawl across the bridge. The worst part is, the most use the "beautification" part will get will be the homeless and druggies. If you haven't taken the survey, there is a link in the link above. WolfMan
Earlier I drove over the bridge both ways to get it all fresh in my mind. I’m all for it. All it really does is basically extend Riverside Drive roughly 300 feet eastward and does a better job dealing with non-vehicular traffic. So just look at it that way…it just becomes Riverside Drive Plus.
2pelo Honey
No, it’s too busy of a bridge to remove driving lanes, period.

Put the Skirmisher statue back where it belongs. That will slow down traffic coming from Route 363, which is the speeding problem’s source, not traffic coming the other way from Riverside Dr.
2pelo Honey
I was crossing it last month, about 1:30 pm, and the westbound traffic was almost back to the light at Washington…solid 2 lanes full.
