per The Country Courier newspaper July 5 edition

Two new meters were installed after 7 years of estimated useage because meters "were not in place". For the first quarter of this year one meter bill was $18,955.95, which was paid. The second meter resulted in a bill of $47,555.75 which the owner of LRTP is seeking an arrangement for. LRTP will be billed again at the end of June.

Evidently there is extensive leaking in the LRTP water/sewer system. The Kirkwood Town Board maintains it is the responsibility of LRTP to install appropriate meters, which they neglected to do for 7 years, and maintain the system.

The current rate of water/sewer useage at LRTP is about 400 gallons per person per day. Normal useage is about 80 gallons per person per day.
