Guest Guest
Unions are like gangs. You have to join one for "protection" and pay dues as "tribute". If you don't belong to one you're subject to extortion of your dollars by the bossman (politician owned by the gang). They violently defend their territory without regard to who they hurt, similar to the drug dealing gangs that run the hood, all in the name of preserving their own power. The only difference is that the unions conduct their activities in broad daylight as they have grown so brazen with the full support of the government and the media. Guest Guest
The Wisconsin Lie Exposed – Taxpayers Actually Contribute Nothing To Public Employee Pensions Gov. Scott Walker says he wants state workers covered by collective bargaining agreements to “contribute more” to their pension and health insurance plans. Accepting Gov. Walker’ s assertions as fact, and failing to check, creates the impression that somehow the workers are getting something extra, a gift from taxpayers. They are not. Out of every dollar that funds Wisconsin’ s pension and health insurance plans for state workers, 100 cents comes from the state workers. How can this be possible? Simple. The pension plan is the direct result of deferred compensation- money that employees would have been paid as cash salary but choose, instead, to have placed in the state operated pension fund where the money can be professionally invested (at a lower cost of management) for the future. Then they should be taking a pay cut, as it does not make sense to already be paid a similar amount to a private sector job and yet be provided differed compensation. In fact, their differed compensation contribution amount each year should be the difference between the equivalent private sector job's salary and their salary. If the private sector job is lower, then no contribution is assumed for that year.

So Professor Plutocracy (nice Leftist wording, BTW)...... would you agree that the taxpayers should be the "ultimate decision maker" since they are the ones who are paying? Guest guest
What is at stake in Wisconsin is whether public servants work for the American people, or whether the American people work for a “public servant” aristocracy enjoying far greater pay and benefits than the taxpayers who are forced to subsidize them. What is at stake is you have absolutely nothing of value to say, never. You obviously resent those who do indeed think for themselves since they oppose your misled and uninformed thinking. Luckily for us taxpayers, the taxpayers have won this battle.
Guest Guest
What is at stake here is people like yourself who are unable to think for themselves are unknowingly being led to slaughter. What we have been led to is an unsustainable spending spree requiring unprecedented property tax rates that are about to reach state constitutional limits in some areas. If that doesn't convince you of the seriousness of the problem, then maybe it's your own ignorance that's an issue.
