We will know for sure when they try to disarm the public.

The Red Coats tried to disarm the colonists just prior to the Revolution. This makes things easier for the aggressors.

To even compare what is happening in Wisconsin to the actions of Hitler is silly and even insulting to those who experienced the crackdowns of the Nazi party.

I completely agree that it's silly, but can I ask why Obama is likened to a Nazi?

To instill false fear amongst the retarded right.

You were saying?

P1060646

Again, I said that it was completely silly, I was just curious why a news organization does it. I mean I see random people doing and feel like they might be retarded. But then I see a news organization doing it constantly and I feel that somehow that's wrong on a deeper level than individuals doing so.

Its time to withdraw from the War on Fox-- your side is hopelessly lost in a quagmire.

You must be a Fox viewer - you think there are different 'sides' in this country like some battle or sports game.

Hitler didn't abolish unions. He doubled down on them. Keep in mind, the NAZI party was short for the National Socialist German Workers party.

http://thegraph.com/...e-down-on-them/

That Hitler wanted to disband unions is lame liberal urban legend tripe intended to compare Governor Walker to Hitler.

Sick, un-informed comparisons made here. It's supposedly okay to compare the Tea Party to Hitler. It's also okay to compare Governor Walker to Hitler.

Best brush up on your history...

I am not comparing Gov. Walker to Hitler. The comparison (for me) speaks to a movement that masks as anti-government control/interference but is in fact not that at all. The name of the party in Germany was certainly not reflective of the regime, a ruse to attract support from the populace.

Source?

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/01/25/stewart-busts-fox-news-nazi-references/

I'm sure someone will attack the source, even though if they watch the Daily Show clip it repeatedly shows Fox News Staff Members using the term Nazi, over and over again. It's really the easiest compilation to find on the fly.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_thecutline/20101118/bs_yblog_thecutline/fox-news-chief-apologizes-to-adl-for-nazi-remark

I'm sure instead of actually reading this article (Even though it contains direct quotes that you can verify yourself) people will instead state "OH LOOK AT THE SOURCE": http://mediamatters.org/research/201011180009

But do yourself a favor, watch the daily show clip, that shows constant reference, then notice that even Ailes uses the term, then actually check a few of the quotes from the Media Matters article. Then come back and argue your point.

They way the other media and the obama administration attack FOX gives the impression that there is a battle. One that the left and obama is losing. They can't stand to have even one outlet that doesn't repeat the party line. The fear from the left is very obvious.

Retarded should not be used as a pejorative term. I wish to God you people would stop throwing it around as if retardation was a choice so the accusation is somehow A-okay!!!-

Retardation, cognitive disability is not a joke..it's a particularly cruel epithet.

If Fox News did not exist, the administration would control the entire TV network. Who else in today's world and in the past has controlled the entire TV network?

You really need to dig to find Fox News using comparisons to Nazis, which most of the time aren't to the degree you see from the left.

NPR's Garrison Keillor in an NY Times article, http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/02/opinion/02iht-edkeillor.2999993.html

None of the men and women who voted for this bill has any right to speak in public about the rule of law anymore, or to take a high moral view of the Third Reich, or to wax poetic about the American Idea.

A reference to Bush's church.

The Methodists of Dallas can be fairly sure that none of them will be snatched off the streets, flown to Guantánamo, stripped naked, forced to stand for 48 hours in a freezing room with deafening noise, so why should they worry? It's only the Jews who are in danger, and the homosexuals and gypsies. The Christians are doing just fine.

Then there's former NBC commentator Kieth Olberman

http://www.newsbusters.org/sites/default/files/main_photos/2010/November/nazisalute.jpg

"And two or three of these people who did call up and mention my name actually got phone calls from FOX security. Which is, you know, fascinating if, you know, we‘re living in, say, Nazi Germany."

After the Germans lost the First World War, it was the “back-stabbers and profiteers” at home, on whose lives the National Socialists rose to prominence in the succeeding decades and whose accused membership eventually wound up in torture chambers and death camps.... And now Mr. Bush, you have picked out your own Jefferson Davis, your own Dreyfus, your own “profiteer”.

And of course the soon to be former NY Times Frank Rich.

Our humanity has been compromised by those who use Gestapo tactics in our war. The longer we stand idly by while they do so, the more we resemble those “good Germans” who professed ignorance of their own Gestapo. It’s up to us to wake up our somnambulant Congress to challenge administration policy every day. Let the war’s last supporters filibuster all night if they want to. There is nothing left to lose except whatever remains of our country’s good name.

Or this NY Times ad in 2005, http://www.worldcantwait.net/flier/nyt.pdf

People look at all this and think of Hitler—and they are right to do so. The Bush regime is setting out to radically remake society very quickly, in a fascist way, and for generations to come. We must act now; the future is in the balance.

And MSNBC's Ed Shultz comparison to "brown shirts" in the 1930s in Germany.

http://www.eyeblast.tv/public/eyeblast.swf?v=hd8znzqGqG&c1=0x37744A&c2=0x367F64

I wonder if Ed has a problem with the unions going to the homes of politicians or taking over the capital building. Probably not.

At least MSNBC's Chris Mathews has denounced making Nazi comparisons.

I will agree there have been some nazi comparisons to the left by Fox commentators over the years. But I'll also weigh whatever Nazi comparisons made by Fox on a scale against other media outlets and their commentator guests any day. Fox looks rather tame in comparison.
