Guest Guest
No word when Jeter will return, looks like the steroid abuse is breaking down his body When it's all said and done, we're all going to find out that Jeter drank more beer and abused his body more than Ruth and Mantle combined. Anybody in the NYC nightlife scene knows this. The guy is still a party animal and could keep a pharmacy in business just all by himself.

Once again the Mets Deflection Specialists are out in full force. Doing everything they can to draw all the attention away from the fact their team hasn't done anything significant since 1986. Jeter has absolutely killed you since he has been in pinstripes. Now I guess the tortch has been passed to Nunez. Here's to 20+ more years of futility for the joke they call the NY Mets. The mets futility has nothing to do with the fact that Jeter is nothing without a 200 million dollar team around him, only the most dillusional of yankee fans can see this......Reyes, Nunez, and Arod all are better shortstops than the 2011 Derek Jeter....... The admitted Mets incompetence doesnt change the Jeter facts, he is old, slow and overrated. In his last 2 DL stints the yankees are 24-7 without him, the numbers dont lie... The Davy G
Mr. Jeter, currently a guest at the H**** R****** in New Jersey, could not be bothered for comment, but he did wave and smile, obviously not worried about the opinion of detractors living in a Mets farm town. And he played great yesterday, relaxed peacefully last night and is ready for this evening, if the rain doesn't cause its cancellation.

Then why all the Jeter bashing? Seriously, how long has "Met Fan" been waiting to do this? You sound like a jealous high school kid all pissed off that the quarter back took off with the prom queen you rub one out to every night.

Jeter’s career numbers against the Mets are remarkable -- a .380 batting average in the regular season, and a .409 batting average and MVP honors in the 2000 World Series. You're right. The numbers don't lie. I'd be bashing the guy every chance I got to if I was a Mets fan.

Guest #28
Congrats to Jeter That would have been a HR anywhere and he did it off a stud pitcher, Dave Price Still hard to believe he's the first Yankee to make it to #3000 Save your hate and jealousy for another day and give it up for the guy He's the face of baseball, has been a great role model and goes about things the right way
Guest Guest
#3000 is a home run to left of all places, he goes 5 for 5 and has the game winning hit. Classic Jeter
Guest Guest
Just saw some footage, how fiting both 1000 and 2000 were of the infield variety. Right now vegas has listed odds, infield nubber -140 or flair to right +120. I think ill go with the better odds and a Jetarian bloop to right Looks like you lost

There are very few feats in sports that are tough to argue with and I believe that 3000 hits is one of them. It is difficult to take anything away from that type of accomplishment. I suggest you learn your baseball history. Yes, Clemente was a great player, but he was without a doubt the biggest moaner and complainer that ever put on a uniform. Not trying to piss on a guys grave, but it was widely known what a crybaby he was.

I'm not the poster you're responding to. Unless you're about 60 years old, you never saw the guy play. I did and he was one of the best defensive outfielders ever. He led the league in outfield assists years after people stopped challenging his arm on the basepaths. He could hit, run, throw, and was a clutch performer in the World Series. Yes, he was a chronic whiner and hypochondriac and it was widely known in MLB (especially the sports writers). Then again, don't we all have our quirks?
