bballcoach Posted October 17, 2017 Report Share Posted October 17, 2017 I heard that the Returning Warrior 10 mile run has now been canceled. This was a big run at Otsiningo Park organized by Broome County STOP DWI, it has been going on for several years. It was to raise awareness for veterans and the challenges they face when they return home. This is another big disappointment. Earlier we found out the Chris Thater races were canceled this year for the first time in 33 years, this was also done by STOP DWI. And the basketball tournament is nothing compared to what it used to be. What the heck is going on with Broome County's STOP DWI program? They did a great job five years ago, but now it's a major disappointment. If the guy running the program now (Chris?) can't do the job, they need to hire someone who can. Broome County cares so little about the Stop DWI program, they took all the DWI funding to pay the salary of Chris Marion (the director) but instead he manages the Arena and Forum. It's a shame everything good in Broome County that people look forward to turns to shit by people who get greedy and use their government jobs for their own benefit.
