One Doctor for all ails

Recommended Posts

What happened to the doctors who took care of one patients illnesses. Now if you stub your toe they send you to a specialist for toes. Ortho doctors operate on your feet or other joints in the body,  Heart specialist is only for heart patients, then you have the gastro doctors who get off sticking a light up your arse.  Now you have to see a nurse practitioner before you even get in to see the doctor. There are only a few good doctors left in the area that do all and bypass the middleman. Now the damn doctors just call you up to diagnosis your condition without seeing you.  All I can say is In The Year 2525. Heart testing is at 11 am this morn then the doctors appointments start all over again first with the surgeon . I am tired of doctors, surgeons , hospitals!!! I want at least a month of peace from the medical profession.

^^ Reminds me of the time I had my stroke..I was on prednisone but because I had trouble swallowing I ended up with thrush. So I'm at the neurologist...who was very nice, too bad he moved away. He says "You have thrush" so I explained the situation and asked him to write me a script for fluconozole and he says no I have to see my primary for that. I'm like seriously? You diagnosed it, why can't you address it?

I get home and maybe ten minutes later my primary calls and says he called in the script for me. Stupid, but I guess he must have got paid.

Well I had my echo cardiogram this a.m and the girl who did it was pretty honest with me. I asked her what they do for heart murmurs and She said Open Heart Surgery is one way to rectify the problem or do the stent thing. GOOD GOD! That's all I had to hear when she said Open Heart Surgery. If they scope my ass then open me up I am going to ask the Heart Surgeon to perk up my boobs and have my gastro Physician  tighten up my rear end.
