Hamail Waddell arrested at Denny's

𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘: 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗺𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁, 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗳’𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁

(TOWN OF CHENANGO) A Binghamton man is facing multiple charges for a string of violence starting with an early morning fight with staff and customers at a restaurant before continued fighting with Sheriff’s Deputies during and after his arrest.  
 
On Sunday, October 29th, 2023, around 4:10 am, Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a disturbance at a restaurant on Upper Front Street in the Town of Chenango.  Arriving patrols came upon a group of patrons and staff trying to restrain a combative and irate male on the ground.  Deputies attempted to secure the male with handcuffs and were successful after a brief struggle. 
 
The subsequent investigation revealed that Hamail R. Waddell, 25 years old of Binghamton, was a customer in the restaurant when he became irate about his food taking too long to be served.  Waddell reportedly entered the kitchen of the restaurant and engaged in a verbal altercation with the staff and at one point claimed he was going to make his own food.  Other patrons overhead the dispute and attempted to convince Waddell to leave the kitchen, at which point, he spit in a woman’s face and punched at least two other people.  The same patrons, along with staff, removed Waddell from the location and attempted to restrain him until deputies arrived.
 
Deputies advised Waddell that he was under arrest, but he refused to get into the patrol car. Following another brief struggle, Waddell was successfully placed in the patrol car, at which point he began kicking the car doors and repeatedly striking his head against the car window. 
 
Waddell was transported to the Broome County Sheriff’s office for processing, where he continued to be irate, aggressive, and combative, kicking an emergency fire door inside the Sheriff’s Office, breaking a handle off the door.  Waddell then stated that his head hurt and EMS personnel were summoned.  Waddell was transported to Wilson Hospital in an ambulance for evaluation, but due to his continued combative behavior, had to be restrained via handcuffs during transport.
 
Once at Wilson Hospital, Waddell continued his behavior, berating and verbally harassing other patients, some elderly, using obscene and abusive language, even after being told to stop numerous times by hospital staff, hospital security and Sheriff’s deputies.  Hospital staff aid medical personnel eventually had to sedate Waddell in order to conduct a CAT scan and provide medical care.
 
Late in the afternoon on October 29th, Waddell was released from the hospital and taken to Central Arraignment for the following charges:
 

Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, a Class E Felony
Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor
Disorderly Conduct - Fighting in Public Place, a Violation
Harassment in the 2nd Degree - Physical Contact, a Violation

 
Waddell remains in custody while awaiting arraignment later this evening.

Waddell is the same scumbag who was taken into custody downtown Binghamton on New Years early in the morning. While being taken into custody Waddell resisted arrest and there is a video that was shown on social media and the news where Waddell says he can't breathe (note to Waddell and numerous other scumbags, if you keep screaming 'I can't breathe, you just keep proving you CAN breathe)

His actions at Denny's show the kind of person he really is...
