Oneonta put one in, then there was an own goal on M-E. Still a very good game. No own goal....second one was mis handled by M-E keep and Joesph walked it in....M-E rebounded from their bad loss to S-V with great play....Kareem played a fantastic match getting behind the back line of OHS time and time again.,...they must have had a dozen 1 vs. 1's in the match....and while OHS had 14 shots only 2 or 3 where worthy of being counted. Senior night and a mix match line up was a killer for Oneonta....they never recovered from the awful start....I was very impressed with M-E last night overall....they played with a high work rate and never looked back. It is because he wasn't offsides....his runs were very well timed and he outran the back line nicely done. I complimented him after the match. Good player and keeper....probably best on their two sides of the STAC....but probably 2nd and or 3rd best overall in STAC with Spadine right there and Hayen....OHS keeper only one being looked at by multiple D1 schools. Then again, look at their wins: Ithaca U-E EFA Corning Southside Three of those are quality wins. If they were in the East or Central, their record would be over .500!! binghamton just got killed by jc the score was only 4-0 but binghamton never got close to a score. if they played in the central their record would be worse than it is now. if they played in the east they would probably be above .500 . You just lost all credibility!! I'm not involved with the kid or Vestal, but to say that Section IV is a "weak section" is just stupid. AA - Vestal - state champion last season!! A - Owego, EFA, Johnson City, and Maine-Endwell have all be consistantly ranked in the state the past 3 seasons!! This year Vestal was ranked #1 in the state until they lost to 2 state ranked teams. Now they are #10. Johnson City and Maine-Endwell are both ranked as well. Seriously, think... Having a 10-0 record while not playing anyone really doesn't show anything. As for M-E, I'm sorry but a true state ranked top 5 team doesn't lose to an unranked smaller school 7-1.
