Newtown, Ct., NRA Now Has a Real Problem

'Don't kill' is just as good as 'Thou shalt not kill'.

For anyone to infer that tragedies like yesterday's are the result of less religion in school is implying that religion somehow on its own stops violent behavior (it doesn't) or that people without religion are automatically psycho-killers (they aren't).

You aren't a very deep thinker.

He has nothing to apologize for. He was basically saying that the removal of god, Ten Commandments, ethical living, personal responsibility, and concern for something other than the individual self has created a population of shallow, wayward children that grow up to do the things like that monster yesterday. It's the truth. Not saying you have to believe in a higher power but when you totally eradicate it, disrespect it, and dismiss it. That is what you get.

No - it's not the truth. The great divide invented by the right which exalts hatred of anything not in their line of thinking has caused more of a problem than the absence of an imaginary being.

Gun control doesn't work retard. Come up with something new. Guns are not the problem. Criminals, mentally ill, and the liberal policies and society that enable them are the problem. Quit making excuses and blaming inanimate objects.

Exactly - people with guns are the problem.

As the nation grieves for twenty schoolchildren gunned down in Connecticut, the religious right has the audacity to blame America's public schools for protecting students' religious freedom.

The American Family Association's leading spokesman used his radio show to argue that God allows violence in public schools because the Supreme Court has prohibited mandatory school prayers.

And speaking live on Fox News, Mike Huckabee said that this shooting happened because "we've systematically removed God from our schools." He added, "Maybe we ought to let [God] in on the front end, and we wouldn't have to call him to show up when it's all said and done."

These words are an insult to the victims, an embarrassment to sincere Christians, and a dangerous distraction from the national scourge of gun violence. Hateful and unchristian rhetoric like this has no place on a major television news network.

Tell Fox News to take Mike Huckabee off the air unless he apologizes immediately.

Removing God from any place can't result in anything good. Society is filled with enemies of God. How can anybody be shocked at what results from these things?

If someone is capable of pulling a trigger on 5 - 10 year olds, it goes way deeper and far more complex than just guns.

Any child that is on any kind of mental health drug is a future lunatic.

So instilling an imaginary being based on guilt and prejudice will improve this nation how exactly?

I believe that nutjob in Sweden (?) managed to kill over 80 kids in a country with incredibly strict gun laws. Nobody had a gun to go up against him. Logic fail on the gun grabbers part, as usual.

Norway had 107 firearm deaths in 2007, compared to over 9,000 in the U.S.

Great analogy Jethro.

Nope. You and your fear that an inanimate object is going to attack you. Going into the kitchen to make a sandwich must be traumatic for you.

The more you post the more obvious it becomes how little you know.

It is not a fear of inanimate object, it is people like you that own them is where the problem lies.

The more you post the more your poor thought process shows itself.

You claim not to be afraid of inanimate objects but you want to ban them. LOL Leave the heavy thinking to others, dimwit.

Who said I wanted to ban them? I didn't. The NRA shit that into your head.

Dear Fellow American:

What's happening RIGHT NOW in Washington, D.C. could spell disaster for YOUR guns and YOUR Second Amendment rights!

Hundreds of gun-ban politicians, political appointees and bureaucrats are now writing regulations, casting votes and passing laws that could all but eliminate your right to own a gun. Their agenda starts with licensing, registering, fingerprinting, inspecting and cataloging every firearm, firearm owner and firearm transfer in the United States ...

... And it ends with an outright ban on your guns!!!!

Gummint gonna grab yer guns Jethro!
