In other words, yes a foreign company is making money for mining US land, but before that a different foreign country owned it and made that money... So in other words your guys giant complaint is that a foreign country has mining rights to part of the country? Am I understanding this correctly? So we didn't give another country control of it beyond allowing a foreign company to buy another foreign company who seemed to have purchased the company for mines owned in other countries primarily. 2 - Yes the Clinton foundation received large donations - from 9 people total - but it's pretty unclear how many of those people had anything to do with the company any longer. In fact, the vast majority of these donations were made between late 2005- and June 2007 (130 million) - Are you telling me that this was a 130 million dollar quid pro quo, before Clinton had even won the nomination for the Democrat ticket? I mean she went on to lose it. But are you saying they invested 130 million dollars for this on the off chance she ended up the Democrat Candidate? 3 - This wasn't a unilateral decision by Clinton, it had to be approved by a pile of other people (The CFIUS) and the NRC. The reason it was approved was simply, it wasn't that big a deal, the mine can't export the Uranium, the uranium it produces isn't for weapons, it's for reactor fuel, and we already import a vast amount of our uranium. Yep, and we log how much goes out, and how much comes back in. It'd also be kinda weird if Canada, the worlds SECOND largest producer of Uranium in the entire world, accounting for 15% of the entire world production decided they'd risk pissing off their largest trading partner, which makes up roughly 75% of their entire trade economy, for what amounts to a few million dollars of uranium.
