As Covid-era clouds hang over office towers, shopping malls, business hotels and other real estate categories, investors are clamouring to put money into warehouses.

And parking is the #1 critical demand when an industrial user is looking for space. That is because as companies make evermore “last mile” deliveries, they require more vans — and space to park and load them.

Demolition crews have removed most of the sprawling Kirkwood facility used for decades by Link and L-3 for flight simulation projects.

The 50-acre site off Industrial Park Drive is being prepared for construction of a FedEx Ground distribution center.

How much in tax breaks and incentives are they getting?

Good question and I have no idea. How much tax was the property generating? Anyway, it looks like a massive project to just prepare the site for new construction. As an aside, I notice the former Modern Marketing building in that Kirkwood Industrial Park is for sale. https://theagency-ny.com/development-properties-opportunities/29-industrial-drive

We are at the intersection of 3 interstates, 81, 86 and 88.  N, S, E, W and NE.  I don't understand why there aren't more warehouses here.  It makes no sense unless someone is purposely not trying to attract them.  Why you ask?  To keep wages low.

Unfortunately, since we are so close to a large population center, Syracuse, we are relegated to the situation we are in.

Does this company still exit? So weird, the phone number is blurred out. Wasn't this a Chuck Schumer deal? We used to have a thread but I can't find it.
