After absentees: Gelson increases her win margin, Democrats win another seat on City Council

Debra Gelson won the election over Sophie Bergman by 74 votes. An increase of her lead on election night. 

Democrat Michael Dundon defeats incumbent councilman Thomas Scanlon.

The only Republican to win on City Council, Phil Strawn, wins by only 1 vote.

City Council will be 6 Democrats and 1 Republican.

Most of the blame for Gelson can be laid squarely at the feet of Mike Korchak.

After defeating her in 2019 that dumbass actually gave that woman a job in his office, thereby keeping her relevant, and paying her good money!

If not for that bonehead move, she would have been cast off to the dust bin.

December 31st cannot get here soon enough!
