Guest Guest
What is up with this? I am sure glad I don't have a duaghter in any of those pictures. I could not believe my eyes when I turned the page and looked at the pictures of southern tier teenage girls. Dozens of them spread out in full color for all to see! I bet they took tons of pictures, many of them in thier final poses just perfect for pictures. Why choose a large selection of these types of pictures? Pornography or porn is the explicit depiction of sexual subject matter, especially with the sole intention of sexually exciting the viewer. It is to a certain extent similar to erotica, which is the use of sexually-arousing imagery for mainly artistic purposes. Over the past few decades, an immense industry for the production and consumption of pornography has grown, due to emergence of the VCR, the DVD, and the Internet, as well as the emergence of social attitudes more tolerant of sexual portrayals. Performers in pornography are referred to as pornographic actors (or actresses), or the more commonly known title, "Porn Star", and are generally seen as qualitatively different from their non-pornographic counterparts. Pornography may use any of a variety of media—printed literature, photos, sculpture, drawing, painting, animation, sound recording, film, video, or video game. However, when sexual acts are performed for a live audience, by definition it is not pornography, as the term applies to the depiction of the act, rather than the act itself. Thus, portrayals such as sex shows and striptease may be considered similar, but not identical, to pornography. In most countries pornography is treated as a separate entity, both culturally and legally, from depictions of naked persons in art or photography. The newspaper has this? I didn't think so. I looked at those pictures and they are no different than any of the thousands of pictures taken in past competitions. If you have a problem with them, I suggest you don't watch figure skating, speed skating, volleyball, go to a beach, or walk downtown until you talk to a counselor. Your problem sounds psychological. Guest Guest
Judging by your sporadic cap lock problem you are either really upset and confused or really enjoyed the site. Please help. now if these girls were in PAUL DANEK'S dance class, he could have ADJUSTED their costumes for them so s to not show any of their DELETED. of couse, people would misconstrue this as a sexual expression on his part, but he would be completely INNOCENT, right? probably just another jealous student blowing him into the authorities, no pun intended. Kermit
These are pictures of a cheerleading COMPETITION. If they just took photos of the cheerleaders standing on the ground, how would that be competitive? I don't think it is the Press that has the problem in this case, it's just that too many people have their minds in the gutter.

If you have a problem with these pictures, then why don't you have a problem with the source - that being the cheerleaders? The paper just took pictures of the competition. If the girls are "exposing" themselves in your mind, you are barking up the wrong tree. Wolf P.S. There is nothing wrong with the pictures. Look around the internet at other competitions or check out a cheerleading magazine. I am sure you will see the same.

Guest Guest
It's quite obvious the editor of the Binghamton Press was asleep at the helm when these distasteful photos were published. It's not the first time he was caught snoozing and I'm sure it won't be the last. He should be fired! Just a short time ago the Binghamton Press printed an article stating our triple cities area had the greatest concentration of pedophiles possibly in the state. These photos will make the Binghamton Press a "daily must read" for those sickos. What a pathetic way to increase circulation!

I have to agree - those pictures were in very poor taste and embarrassing to the families and the girls!!!! Considering all of the stunts that are done in a cheerleading competition, much more tasteful pictures could have been chosen. I am absolutely disguisted with the press for allowing these pictures to have taken up an entire page.

Those "distasteful" photos were of cheerleaders doing what cheerleaders do wearing what cheerleaders wear. Anyone who finds the pictures offensive or distasteful is not only insulting these girls, but is also opening themselves up to scrutiny as a pedo as well.
