you guys obviously don't know much about law enforcement or watch much tv. sheriff harder was doing the old bait and switch on wanted criminals. he sends them a letter at their last known address telling them they won a free chair. a real expensive one, too. they stage a welcoming center for the cons to pick up the chairs, but it's a trick. it's all cops acting like the staff. when they confirm their ID, everyone cheers and when they are led into the back room, BANG, you're busted. it's been on tv a million times. it takes the keen mind of sheriff harder to employ this strategy. obviously, when the sting is over with, there's nothing to do with the chairs but give them to his friends. get with it, people.

You're right. That little bit of money could have cleaned up the ENTIRE endless supply of drugs flowing into this area, and rehabed all the addicts who live here. If only it had been used for that, instead of to reward the people who worked toward that goal...

Local law enforcement agencies are rewarded enough with the salaries they make for their job, plus full benefits, pension, and job security unless they screw it up for themselves. Stop making excuses for the wrong-doing of another privilaged bureaucrat who thinks he is above the law, that's all this is. He is simply another 2-bit local politico who feels 'entitiled'. Send a clear message to this empty suit next election and send him packing please.

I would bring more honor and integrity to the office than this clown, any day of the week. Additionally I suggest you stop making excuses for him and deflecting logical arguments by responding like a sixth grader. You must really be attached to that chair he gave you. One more item, the fact that he risked his position by 'purchasing chairs with drug money' indicates that at the very least, he has exceptionally poor judgement. Most politicians lose their gigs over million dollar deals, this scholar sacrificed his reputation for 'chairs'. Great legacy he carved for himself.

His reputation isn't done being "sacrificed" yet :).

Always get to know who you are voting for:

What is bullying?

Bullying is persistent unwelcome behaviour, mostly using unwarranted or invalid criticism, nit-picking, fault-finding, also exclusion, isolation, being singled out and treated differently, being shouted at, humiliated, excessive monitoring, having verbal and written warnings imposed, and much more. In the workplace, bullying usually focuses on distorted or fabricated allegations of underperformance.

Why do people bully?

The purpose of bullying is to hide inadequacy. Bullying has nothing to do with managing etc; good managers manage, bad managers bully. Management is managing; bullying is not managing. Therefore, anyone who chooses to bully is admitting their inadequacy, and the extent to which a person bullies is a measure of their inadequacy.

Bullies project their inadequacy on to others:

1) to avoid facing up to their inadequacy and doing something about it;

2) to avoid accepting responsibility for their behaviour and the effect it has on others, and,

3) to reduce their fear of being seen for what they are, namely a weak, inadequate and often incompetent individuals, and,

4) to divert attention away from their inadequacy - in an insecure or badly-managed workplace, this is how inadequate, incompetent and aggressive employees keep their jobs.

I heard he took his son on several "personal" trips to Rochester not so long ago. Wonder who paid for the gas?

If you want to win run a clean campaign; stop the mud slinging. Only those of you who are running would know such things. Stop hiding behind anonymous posts slinging mud and get out there and shake hands. You are just as bad as Harder!

No. A concerned taxpayer who pays attention to certain conversations in certain places can know such things too. Maybe you are not concerned with taxpayer funded gas by politicians on personal trips but I am.

Somebody seems a little testy on this subject. Any media following this thread? Maybe they should foil gas receipts for rochester. While they are at it I also heard something about a "north carolina?" trip. It was hard to hear to know for sure. Loud music!

Sure does. Signs and symptoms of a serial bully include:

mean, stingy, and financially untrustworthy

Bravo!!!!!!! Well said!! Isn't there a "Bullying Bill" that just got passed in Albany that protects the employee from all of the above. And the employee can receive punitive damages if it is brought to court???

9. has a Jekyll and Hyde nature - is vile, vicious and vindictive in private, but innocent and charming in front of witnesses; no-one can (or wants to) believe this individual has a vindictive nature - only the current target of the serial bully's aggression sees both sides; whilst the Jekyll side is described as "charming" and convincing enough to deceive personnel, management and a tribunal, the Hyde side is frequently described as "evil"; Hyde is the real person, Jekyll is an act

#6 would be backed up by this trait of a serial bully:

is emotionally retarded with an arrested level of emotional development; whilst language and intellect may appear to be that of an adult, the bully displays the emotional age of a five-year-old

You might be on to something.

Wow. Not getting enough signatures has really put you off the deep end hasn't it?

Hi Harder Supporter,

Another trait of a serial bully:

quick to discredit and neutralise anyone who can talk knowledgeably about antisocial or sociopathic behaviors

Are you like him?

Oh, how did I forget this one Dave Harder supporter? He and his ilk are:

also quick to belittle, undermine, denigrate and discredit anyone who calls, attempts to call, or might call the bully to account

He is pegged, believe me. This will get expensive for the county and him if it continues.

Your rhetoric is painfully recognizable and your unhealthy obsession appears to be nearing a dangerous level. Let's hope for everyone's sake that when it finally comes to a head it only manifests itself in the form of a scathing internet published "book" once again. Anyone familiar with you knows that you were a bully when you worked there. At least until the regime around you collapsed. You didn't mind being the Sheriffs "you know what" along with the other henchmen. The others have moved on, why can't you? Have you thought about getting into real estate? It was ok while you were on the winning side but now that the tables are turned you cry foul. Why don't you just let it go?
