Endicott Linda Jackson compares working with Village Board to Alzheimer's patients

More disgusting comments from Linda Jackson, mayor of Endicott, last night at the Village Board meeting.  First she compared working with the Village Board to working with Alzheimer's patients, saying she needs to simplify what she says, so they can understand. This is extremely disrespectful to all families who have dealt with the very sad disease of Alzheimer's.  It's also inappropriate and disrespectful to accuse a member of the Board of having Alzheimer's at a public meeting.

Then she went on later in the meeting and accused members of the board of having other mental disorders.  When called on it she denied saying it.  Even though the record is clear and on video. 

This is very inappropriate behavior for a mayor, and it is very disrespectful to every individual who suffers with mental illness.  I feel Linda Jackson should be censured by the Endicott Board for her comments.  Remember this is the same mayor who last year was promoting "white lives matter" content on social media.  Then she tried to cover up her actions, saying she didn't understand what she was doing.  Enough is enough.  Endicott must take action against Linda Jackson.

She is a disgrace to Endicott. With all the problems we have in Endicott, her priority is to spread false rumors people have Alzheimer’s? This is absolutely disgusting.

She needs to resign. At first it was kind of humorous she was referring to herself as Action Jackson, and conducting her own “investigations” like Endicott’s very own elderly Nancy Drew. But this has gone too far. She got caught in numerous lies during the battery incinerator debate. She got caught in lies over the summer during the social media post scandal. She’s been insulting people on the record and off the record. And now these inappropriate mental illness comments. 

Endicott needs to do whatever necessary to take away all her power, or remove her from office if possible.

Apparently Ms. Jackson also made comments last night that she was in favor of appointees to a village commission because they were Republicans.  And she doesn't have a problem with that because she "is a true Republican".  This was also on video and on the record.

I suggest those political comments have no place in village board meetings.  And Ms. Jackson does not represent the Republican Party that I'm a member of.  She is an embarrassment and liability to Endicott and must be removed from office.

While you personally may not approve of Linda Jackson, and the Broome Republicans desperately try to distance the local party from Jackson, the local GOP leadership has to own her candidacy and term as mayor, whether they like it or not.

It is well known there are good Republican candidates who cannot even get a returned phone call from the Broome GOP leadership. Yet you have a candidate like Linda Jackson who was recruited by Bijoy Datta and received money from Bijoy Datta. And Jackson’s campaign for mayor was run by campaign manager Christopher Dziedzic, the vice chairman of the Broome GOP. 

The Broome GOP is responsible for Linda Jackson and what is going on in Endicott.

"We still have brown water and that's not acceptable," Jackson told 12 News. "It's because when you have iron in your water and it mixes with the chlorine for treatment, it turns into iced tea, and I understand people are upset."

She says that iron in water when mixed with chlorine turns water into iced tea......... this is the same lady running around saying everyone else has Alzheimer’s and is mentally ill.
