ginger
Thought to start a thread for obits. We're not getting any younger and sometimes I miss them in the paper. On that note, I'm sad to see Mr McGlynn passed away. Very sweet man, nice family, Vestal teacher and coach. Class individual.
Responsible_Adult_Female
I'm at the age where I hate reading them anymore because there's almost always someone I know. Some other notables that passed away recently: Tom Vianese (Teacher at Chenango Valley High School). Very smart man, worked with him on a consultant basis. Tim Myers (Dicks Sporting Goods) - my former boss I was amazed at the cost of obituaries - I had put a small one in for each of my parents this year. One picture and two small paragraphs was well over $300.
ndirish
Obits are one place where the paper can still try to make money. We've noticed quite a number recently with a very short obituary in the PSB and a longer one on the funeral home website.
ginger
I try to get the paper on Sunday or Monday. .I really hate reading the Press on line. Perhaps I should have titled the thread, HONORABLE MENTIONS. 🙂

Thanks..I really can't find that address. My mom was just telling me how funny he was the last time they chatted on line, comiserating how he was "older than dirt". He never seemed old to me.
