IT HAS BEEN THERE A WHILE NOW!! DIDNT ANYONE KNOW THIS!!! 1. Your coding didn't work. 2. You don't have to SHOUT 3. From what I understand, the Pudgie's that have opened are nothing like the originals. Not sure if that's good or bad...

Guest guest
Sammy's, Cornaby's, and the Hillcrest Soda Spa. We used to buy comics with their covers ripped off (they were cheaper that way) at Cornaby's which later became a breakfast cafe.

Guest Guido
Trust me you did not miss much. Back in those days there was nothing like what you got today at Madame Oars. The Caravan, The Hideaway, Mr Rons just did not cut it. Speaking of Ron Hudy is he still alive ? He owed some heavy hitters serious gambling debts at one time. He fell off the radar when the place closed.

spartacat
Does anyone remember a store on Main Street near Hooper School that sold candy? I would save my milk money and use it to buy candy instead. Could it have been "Jokey's" or "Seeley's"? "Michael's" comes to mind but my memory is not too good. "Sampson's", just off of Main Street in Westover was a good place for candy also.

Oh man, Cadillacs penny candy. We used to walk there often at lunch time or while waiting for the school bus. I was in fifth grade at the old Main St school that's gone now. Guest Larry OC
This post is old, and I'm not sure if anyone is watching it any more, but I need your help. 2pelo Honey and a one other person mention the Honky Tonk Saloon in Binghamton. I was the bass player for the band One To One that played there on Saturday nights from late 1972 through 1974. You mention that the horse went to Bobby Dee's. The reason I'm writing is that One to One is getting back together in Bellingham WA for the first time in 38 years! We're playing a gig on Monday July 25 at a local micro-brewery and I would LOVE to have memories, pictures, comments, even people who were part of the Honky Tonk events. 3 of the members of One To One are professional musicians ranging from touring jazz musicians, to stage and musical to music production companies and we've ALL continued to play all these years. It's gonna be a hoot, and if there's a way to make it even better, I'd sure love to get your input. Here's my info: Larry OConnor email -lwoc8567@yahoo.com Get in contact if this is of interest to you and I can give you more info!
Guest Guest
Don't want to read back thru all the pages but how about the Art Theatre on the South Side when it showed porn. Heard the management (couple) liked to play as well. (Don't know if that was true though.)
