Guest Fool2Go
I believe I have. You just might be the fool, especially for using that name of yours. You don't commit murder to save a life. The unborn and the 12 year old are EQUAL in value to God. You don't murder one to save the other. You have not, fool, until now. You have, in no uncertain terms, said that you cannot save the life of the 12 year old, thereby justifying the murder of the girl. Sleep well, murderer. Guest Guest
Isn't that the same thing that happened before the 1960's in the US? Granted, it was wrong not to notify the family. To say that unmarried women being scorned just happening in Ireland is a lie. Try getting pregnant in the USA during the 1940s, out of wedlock, and see what would happen to you. "It was wrong not to notify the family..." Brilliant observation there, buddy. And try comprehending when you read. They weren't just "scorned" at these convents. Guest Guest
I did not say it happened only in Ireland. So what is your point then? Do you NOW understand what sin causes? The sin of fornication causes nothing but heartaches....

Guest Slant
the 12 year would not be murdered if she died a natural death, right? The fetus would technically be murdering the mother. Does that mean the fetus is going to hell?

Guest Sad Indeed
How is the 12 year old murdered if she died a natural death? This person calls me the fool..... Get Real!!! Not many 12 Year Old Girls Die!!!! So it would seem her doctors would know if giving childbirth in her circumstances would be life threatening to her!! If the odds were that she was at extremly high risk of death a choice might have to be made. I think the Jews always mandate that the mothers life be saved over the fetus. If it comes down to that. So it seems AFC is advocating letting nature take it's course if it's high risk in this instance for the 12 year old girl to give birth and let her die a natural death if neccessary. Again it's unusuall for 12 year old girls to die. Remember the scenario was the 12 year old girl was raped and giving birth at some point may be deemed high risk to the mother. The Jews are wrong to begin with anyway. God, the Lord of life, has entrusted to men the noble mission of safeguarding life, and men must carry it out in a manner worthy of themselves. Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception: abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes. Catechism 2271 http://www.scborromeo.org/ccc/para/2271.htm So it seems AFC is advocating letting nature take it's course if it's high risk in this instance for the 12 year old girl to give birth and let her die a natural death if neccessary. Again it's unusuall for 12 year old girls to die. abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes..... "You shall not kill the child by obtaining an abortion. Nor, again, shall you destroy him after he is born." St. Barnabas ("Epistle of St. Barnabas," c. 70-100 A.D.) "You shall not murder a child by abortion nor kill one who has been born." The Didache [The Teaching Of The Twelve Apostles]" (c. 80-140 A.D.) Remember the scenario was the 12 year old girl was raped and giving birth at some point may be deemed high risk to the mother. Actually, abortion is no different then a person shooting someone and killing them in cold blood. Murder is the killing of the innocent. There is nothing more innocent than an unborn baby....Murder is never the answer.

Guest Guest
Getting pregnant out of wedlock is a terrible sin. The baby is the one that suffers the most. Only because religious zealots treat the baby like a "bastard" and the mother like a "slut." Hypocrites! Plenty of babies "suffer" under two-parent families, especially if the parents are religious freaks.

No, the sin of hypocrites willing to throw stones at others is the real SIN! Your post throws the blame of those that suffered in the catholic "convents" on the pregnant women, but not at the society or church that cast them there. People like you make me sick. Guest Guest
God is the Lord of Life. He gives life and takes life at His will. And AFC and religious fanatics are always at the ready to interpret his will and ensure who lives and dies based on their personal beliefs. Allah be praised! This person calls me the fool..... How about next time you need emergency surgery to save your life, we make sure there is a law in place preventing you from getting treatment and we allow nature and God's will to just take its course? And remember -- no pain killers either!
