Seamus McPissed
What is it about BPD family members getting all tanked up and driving the wrong way on highways? First Zikuski's stepdaughter Ashley Harder and now this Butash guy.
Wilfrid Laurier
That’s a little disturbing if true. Hopefully we won’t have to worry about that.
Officer Al
Even if you like Battisti personally, I can't see how anyone could vote for him over Korchak. Korchak is the textbook definition in what you would want in a DA. Now factor in Battisti's political relationships and relationship with Joe Zikuski. There is no reason to vote for Battisti unless you feel you will benefit personally or financially (better offer for Yeager's son in law, jobs for Joe Zikuski and Debra Butler). Electing Battisti DA would be like electing Cal Harris the DA in Tioga Co.
CheckMate
Didn't Fred Akshar just provide an award to the deputy involved this week? 10 to 1 he was providing advice to everyone out the other side of his mouth at the same time!
Gordon Hoyt
On 5/9/2019 at 5:57 PM, Choo Choo Charlie said: Daniel Butash, the alleged drunken driver that severely injured Deputy Kristy Botsford, recently turned down a plea offer of 2 and 1/3 years to 7 years in State prison, leaving many wondering why he would do such a thing when the evidence against him appears to be overwhelming. The BCVoice has found a secret source within the BPD that has an answer. Daniel Butash has been advised to wait this out until, at the very least, the Republican primary for DA is over. The belief is that Butash, who is the son-in-law of Assistant Chief William Yeager, who is a supporter of candidate Paul Battisti, will get a much sweeter deal in a District Attorney’s office led by Battisti. It should be noted that Chief Joe Zikuski’s personal attorney is Paul Battisti and Zikuski is staunch supporter of Battisti as well as rumored to be Battisti’s Chief Investigator. The DA Primary between Paul Battisti and Mike Korchak is on June 25th. Stay tuned for future developments.. This couldn't be more true!!!! Pathetic, but true!!! justme
Looks like he is taking the original plea deal. Quote He is expected to receive two and one-third to seven years in prison when he is sentenced on October 11.
92CorruptCourtStreet
“Butash’s name did not appear on court calendars provided to the media by the court clerk's office. These calendars are redacted versions of the docket, with some cases blacked out” how am I not surprised lol
Take out the trash
If he doesn’t take this plea deal and God forbid Battisti wins this election this will have to handed off to a special prosecutor due to the conflict of interest between the parties involved. Am I missing something?

The older defense attorneys in town are masters of it. You call at the last minute and have the judge add your case to the schedule, if they like you and they do it, the media doesn’t know to show up. So your client stays out of the news. Unless the media finds out, which apparently they did.
