Not even close. Teams in East are weak, SV??

ME beat Corning and Horseheads. Ithaca is tough, but the real team is the Cats!

Norwich is awful.

Best Teams in STAC so far

1) Chenango Valley

2) Horseheads

3) Oneonta

4) Binghamton

5) Johnson City

6) Union Endicott

7) Corning

8) Ithaca

9) Norwich

10) Maine Endwell

1. Horseheads

2. Binghamton

3. Corning

4. Ithaca

5. Maine-Endwell

6. Union-Endicott

7. Vestal

8. CV

9. JC

10. Norwich

These rankings arent based only on record, mainly talent wise, and schedule. You can't put CV at the top when they have no quality wins against teams that they will possibly see in the STAC playoffs, the only quality win was at UE, but its non league so it really didnt matter, same thing with JC no quality wins against teams they might possibly be in the stac playoffs. lets get real here the stac champ is going to come out of either the metro or west division. and another thing is Austin Lewis in stac playoffs will get shelled, everyone makes a big deal about him, all he has done is win games against sub par opponents, he has nothing on Kellar(Bing), Manwrig (HH), Bonsell (Bing), or Donaldson (UE).

Jc should be a lot higher on that list, playing great lately. 12-1 win today over cf

Lets put it this way, in the nfl argubly the nfc east is the toughest division, with the eagles, giants, cowboys, redskins, each of these teams play each team in the division twice just like stac baseball lets say stac metro is the nfc east, then you have the nfc west with the cardinals, seahawks, rams etc. terrible teams. lets say that is the stac east or central, they look decent in division play but get beat up on in the playoffs. JC or CV would be in last place if they played in metro. its who you play that makes you a good team.

He was only a sophmore last year. A year later means more confidence.

You mean Junior..he's a senior this year. But Justin Williams from CV is an absolute pitching machine, no one can hang.

It's funny how everyone on this site has their own opinion on who is the best in their league or in the area. As of May 5th, CV was listed as number 3 in the New York State High School baseball division b rankings. They beat JC today, increasing their record to 8-0. Unfortunately nobody wants to give them the benefit of the doubt that they are a good team, many of the players coming from the JV stac championship team from the 2009-2010 season. Go watch them play. Get a real taste of baseball instead of hiding behind your computer screen and arguing about which team is better.

ESS has an eighth-grade pitcher named Calvin Blish who will probably be a little overmatched this year, but who's going to be a stud when he gets out of junior high school. Low-80s fastball, slow but active curve, and also mixes in a knuckleball every now and then which he actually has some control over - not too many local high school players have ever gone up against a competent knuckleballer, which will be to his advantage. His father is Todd Blish, who was one of the best players in IAC history for Thomas A. Edison is the early 90s.
