Wow! I love this writer!

Of course, the subject just gets scarier.

Lonsbury got himself banned from twitter. Not sure what happened. I'll try to catch his show tomorrow or look him up on FB.

Hotels and motels in Broome County are being told not to make any deals to house homeless people from New York City.

County Executive Jason Garnar has issued an emergency order in response to the announcement by New York City Mayor Eric Adams that housing vouchers can be used elsewhere in the state.

Eventually the voucher program ends. Then what? Broome County pays their tab?

The growth of TB in New York is the highest the city has seen in over a decade.

There is speculation that the massive influx of illegal immigrants swarming the city’s streets is contributing to the rise in cases. There are confirmed cases of migrants testing positive for tuberculosis at the southern border.

Refugees Settling Into Home in Upstate New York

Ngongo works at Hartwick College. Mark Wolff, a French language professor has assisted the couple. Joseph and Ngongo’s settlement is an early test of a new federal program called Welcome Corps under which grass-roots groups are able to sponsor the resettlement of refugees. It, by extension, could lead to a more dispersed refugee resettlement effort that could change the character of small—and sometimes shrinking—communities like Oneonta.

More than 140,000 migrants have come to New York City, prompting officials to begin busing asylum seekers to hotels in upstate communities , often over the objection of local officials.

More than 80% of New York state voters surveyed this month said the influx of migrants is a serious problem.

Migrants Refuse to Stay In Democrat-Run City, Demand New Accommodations

Office of the New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams called for migrants to be housed elsewhere in the state.

“We really need the governor to realize the right to shelter is statewide and open up some spaces across the state,” demanded Williams.

(Allegedly) A Guatemalan immigrant threatened a village of Deposit official with a machete, Halloween night. Make no mistake, they are coming to the community.

There is growing outrage over New York City Mayor Eric Adams' decision to kick students out of their high school to make way for 2,000 migrants during a lackluster storm. The students of James Madison High School in Brooklyn are today stuck at home, keeping many of their parents there with them.

Elon Musk tweet in response...

This is what happens when you run out of hotel rooms. Soon, cities will run out of schools to vacate. Then they will come for your home.
